Alec Longstreth is an Ignatz Award-winning cartoonist who lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico with his wife, Claire Sanders and their daughter Suzanne.  In 2007 Alec graduated from Pratt Institute's illustration program with highest honors and immediately began working as a freelance illustrator.  In 2008 Alec was a fellow at The Center for Cartoon Studies. That same year, he joined the CCS faculty and went on to teach a variety of classes over the next eight years.  Alec now works as the CCS Director of Academic Outreach.

Alec enjoys drawing fun, exciting projects for kids and teens and hopes to illustrate more chapter books and picture books moving forward.
