INDIE ROCK ROADTRIP TOUR POSTER (2023)
When weezer was gearing up for their 2023 summer tour, Rivers honed in on the cover art I created for the “It’s Been So Long” weezer fan club single, as a jumping off point for the tour. So the band hired me to create this poster, which in turn became the art direction touchstone for the entire stage design and tour visuals.
This poster was art directed by Brendan Walter at Crush Music and Karl Koch.
The various assets from this poster were used extensively for the promotion of the tour throughout all of weezer's online accounts. The tiny =w= interstate sign became their user profile avatar for their Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and Spotify accounts.
Friends sent me photos of the tour poster pasted up or displayed in cities across the country, and in a few other very strange places!
The merch team at Manhead also used the tour poster assets to create two t-shirt designs and a hat design which were sold as merch during the Indie Rock Roadtrip tour.
