MEMORIES TOUR POSTERS (2010)
In 2010, weezer embarked on their Memories Tour, which was a series of two-night performances where they played the entirety of The Blue Album on the first night and then the entirety of Pinkerton on the second night. They also played a bunch of their other hits (and a few B-sides!) each night.
The band offered a special VIP backstage experience on this tour (at $600 a ticket!), which included some exclusive merch like a Memories Tour t-shirt and the posters I illustrated, which you can see below. These posters are incredibly rare and are highly sought-after in the fan community (No, I do not have any extra copies for sale!).
These were created by repurposing the 2010 weezer.com gift icons I illustrated, using one icon for each song on these beloved albums. Art direction by Karl Koch, who had the great idea to recolor the icons using a limited color palette, based on the colors from the album covers.
These posters were later repurposed as the covers for my book Weezer Fan, which is an autobiographical account about being a lifelong weezer fan. You can read it for free on the Phase Seven Comics website.
